The Tūtaenui Stream Restoration Society is a handful of locals doing unglamorous work. Making tracks, planting natives, trapping pests. Same crew, same idea: bring people somewhere special, then put the money straight back into looking after the place.

The team directing and delivering Reservoir Dog has run, ridden, tramped and even swum many of NZ's best places, crossing many finish lines with wide grins and a sense of relief.

Greg has not only directed the legendary 90s Tongariro Mountain Classic multisport event but also nearly ended himself, his family, his mates (and every athlete that participated) delivering a 30-day epic across the length of NZ in 2001. Yep, even way back then people were awesome enough to sign up to stupid shit. We're all standing on the shoulders of giants.

He has finally recovered his mojo and now the old team is back together again, ready to serve the good keen folk of the backyard ultra scene. Brace yourself.
